The first semester introduces students to the foundational concepts essential for a web technology and multimedia career. Courses include Web Technology Fundamentals, which covers critical web technologies and tools, and Multimedia Design Basics, which focuses on multimedia design principles. Programming Fundamentals provides vital programming skills, while Web Design Principles and Digital Media Essentials offer a comprehensive introduction to web and digital media concepts.
In the second semester, students advance their skills with Web Development Techniques, Graphic Design and Visualisation, and Interactive Media Design courses. The curriculum also includes Database Management to understand data handling and Web Development Tools to enhance practical skills in web creation.
Students will explore Web Programming Languages, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, alongside Multimedia Production Techniques and User Interface Design. Content Management Systems and Project Management for Web Technology round out the semester, focusing on practical applications and project management in the digital space.
This semester covers mobile web development, animation, and motion graphics and introduces digital marketing basics and web security essentials. Students also delve into E-Commerce Development, gaining insights into online business platforms and strategies.
The fifth semester focuses on Advanced Web Technologies such as AJAX and APIs, 3D Modeling and Animation, and Web Usability and Accessibility. SEO and Web Analytics are also covered, along with an elective course allowing for specialisation in a chosen area.
This semester, courses include Web Application Development, Multimedia Project Management, and Responsive Web Design. Students will also study Industry Trends and Emerging Technologies, with the option to choose an additional elective.
Students will engage with Advanced Multimedia Techniques and user Experience (UX) Design and explore Virtual and Augmented Reality. Research Methodology is also introduced, along with another elective to tailor their learning experience.
The final semester culminates with a Capstone Project and Industry Placement to apply skills in real-world scenarios. Students also select a final elective and complete courses in Digital Media Strategies and Professional Development to prepare for their careers.
